Our time this month has been full of projects around the house, decluttering, re-organizing, reading and writing, huddling by the fireplace, and enjoying a bit more television and video games than we normally would.
Over the past two weeks, we have seen midday temperatures barely rising above 18 degrees celsius. I'm not even going to try and explain what a challenge that is... but if you've ever lived in the southern hemisphere in a cement brick house without central heating, you may have an idea. I liken it to camping in the fall on the wet coast of BC. :) It's just hard to warm up.
However, this weekend and now the outlook for this week seem to be making a transition? Or maybe we're just getting teased. Perhaps there will be another "winter freeze" coming in August? Meanwhile, we will enjoy lying on the warm black trampoline, discovering pre-spring flowers emerging in our garden, and having our windows and doors open without getting completely windblown!
Over the years, we have planted many pineapple tops in hopes of seeing a pineapple grow.
Guess what happened after 6 six years????
