Easy-Peasy Microwaved Chocolate Cake
One way I like to gift my family with grace is by making simple, yet satisfying, treats and foods at home. This is an easy 5-minute dessert you could surprise your family with one evening after dinner.
In a 4-cup Pyrex Glass Measure (or other similar microwave safe container) mix the following ingredients:
4 Tablespoons Flour
4 Tablespoons White Sugar
2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
3 Tablespoons Milk
3 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
1 Tablespoon chopped Chocolate (I like to use at least 65% cocoa, you could also use semi-sweet chocolate chips)
1/2 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
Pinch of Salt
Mix well, so there are no dry spots and everything is combined. Microwave on high for 2.5 to 3 minutes. Check it after 2 minutes.
Once the cake is finished, loosen around the sides with a dinner knife, and then turn out onto a dinner plate. Sprinkle with white sugar.
This is perfect for our family. We can cut 6 small triangles out of this cake and it's just enough to satisfy our after-dinner dessert craving--and you won't have the temptation of any leftovers after!
